The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2007 with UG programmes and subsequently PG programmes were introduced. The team of potential faculty and administrative personnel are involving in conduct of programme, establishing various laboratories for the smooth and efficient operations of the department. The department is facilitated with computerised laboratory equipment in the field of Fluid Mechanics, Thermal and Aero Dynamics. A dedicated CAD/CAM/CAE lab is established with high end hardware and software facilities. The elite members of faculty are effectively involved in research activities in the field of Material Science, Energy Engineering, Optimization, Quality Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Aero Dynamics, Robotics and Intelligent system, Ergonomics and Tribology.
The students are focused to work in emerging technologies with innovative ideas in their projects with support of leading industries. The faculty and students of the department are dedicated to work in close adherence to the current needs of industry and have the ability to contribute their expertise by incorporating cutting edge technology to meet the challenging needs of the society. The main objective of the department is to create highly skilled and dedicated work force to face global challenges.
